At Kindaba, we are building the future of communication for families. What we build is used by thousands all over the world using many different devices, browsers and experiences to connect with each other. Responsibilities range from assisting our senior engineers with work on production code, to working on scalability features and actioning UX feedback.

We’re hiring a Junior engineer to help us make the future of social possible. This is a role that depends on a broad set of skills, especially with React, comfort in asking questions and learning, and flexibility for types of jobs required. Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills (Slack, Zoom) and isn’t afraid to ask for help.

The person in this role will work as part of our engineering team as well as with the design and non-product teams. We encourage cross team engagement and this person will have opportunities to participate in design sprints, and direct customer interaction.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the engineering and product teams in feature development, maintenance, and special projects
  • Working with the growth team on special projects

Requirements

  • Experience with React and/or React Native
  • Experience with Node.JS or Django
  • Good understanding of modern engineering practices
  • You understand that stability, setting up automated tests, and refactoring are just as important to the success of any product as working on new features
  • Learning mindset

Bonus

  • Experience with integrating with different apis and 3rd party services and libraries
  • Experience with mobile development languages (Swift, Objective-C or Java)
  • Experience with Logging and crash reporting tools implementation
